Virtual Reality: The Latest Innovation in Anxiety Treatment

An experiential presentation demonstrating how virtual reality (VR) is being used for skills training and exposure.

Virtual Reality Therapy (VRT) also known as Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) is the latest innovation in treating anxiety disorders and has strong research support, especially for phobias.

Experience VR and some of the multiple virtual reality 3-D immersive environments and videos created and available for use in psychotherapy.

Discuss ways in which VRT can be compatible and complementary to ACT. The presentation is hosted by the  SF Bay Area Chapter Association for Contextual Behavioral Science
